SCOTTVILLE — The 24th annual Scottville CommUnity Auction takes place Saturday, March 2 at the Scottville Optimist Center. Hundreds of items will be showcased in the “North to Alaska” event with proceeds going to the Mason County Central Educational Foundation and the Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Admission tickets are $24 each or two for $45 and include bid number, beverages and appetizers. They are available at the Chamber of Commerce office, the Mason County Central Schools Business Office, Squires Family Care Chiropractic, and Smith & Eddy Insurance. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Raffle tickets are also on sale now, with a chance to win $500 cash, a hand-made, Alaskan-themed quilt or a $300 Cabela’s gift card. Tickets are $5 each, 5 for $20, or 15 for $50. Raffle tickets are also available at the above-listed sites.

The auction raises funds for:

  • Mason County Central School Projects
  • Scholarships and opportunities for Mason County Central students
  • Business-development programs which help build a stronger community
  • Educational, community services and events.
