Strangulation suspect tops 79th District Court arraignments.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Buchanan

-William Geoffrey Buchanan, 29, of 6597 W. Sassafras St., Hamlin Township, was arrested Feb. 7 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, second offense aggravated domestic violence and fourth offense habitual offender. Preliminary hearing: Feb. 27 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $35,000 cash/surety. See related story here.

Horowski

-Nicole Rose Horowski, 28, of 912 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was arrested Feb. 5 by the State, Sheriff, and City Enforcement of Narcotic Team (SSCENT) on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance (narcotics), maintaining a drug house and felony firearms. Preliminary hearing: Feb. 27 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent. See related story.

-Thomas Donal Shepard, Jr., 32, of 912 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was arrested Feb. 5 by the State, Sheriff, and City Enforcement of Narcotic Team (SSCENT) on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance (narcotics), maintaining a drug house and felony firearms. -Brittany Marie Wiles, 28, no address listed; Feb. 9; MCSO; domestic violence. Pretrial: Feb. 19 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

-Loreto Ulises Lopez, 20, of 512 E. Danaher St., Ludington; Feb. 9; MCSO; third offense minor in possession of alcohol. Pretrial: Mar. 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

-Jacob Wayne Barton, 26, of 265 Echo Dr., White Cloud; May 17; MCSO; driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Feb. 11 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $1,500 personal recognizance.
