Annual conservation district dinner will feature stream and wetland presentation.

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason-Lake Conservation District will be hosting its annual meeting and dinner banquet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) at the Scottville Optimist Hall, 105 W. State St. Scottville.

Dinner will be catered by Gloria Ann’s catering, and will include baked chicken, beef tips and pepper pasta and delicious sides. Following dinner, staff will present on 2018 accomplishments. Guest speaker Jeremy Geist of Trout Unlimited will share success stories of stream and wetland habitat projects in our area. The evening will wrap up with award presentations for Outstanding Conservationist, Volunteer of the Year, results of the Board of Directors election as well as raffle and door prize winners.

Tickets are $14 per person, payable at the door and can be reserved by calling the Conservation District Office at 231-757-3707. RSVP is requested by January 22. No ticket purchase is necessary to vote for the director election. Ballots will be available at the door. Absentee ballots can be obtained by stopping in the Conservation District office or calling to have one mailed. Ballots must be received back to the Conservation District by Jan. 31.
