Scottville commission approves first reading of marijuana opt out ordinance.

SCOTTVILLE — On Monday the Scottville City Commission approved the first reading of an ordinance that will prohibit the sale of recreational marijuana within the city, along with the use of marijuana in public places. The ordinance will be brought in front of the commission again for a public hearing. The vote was 5-1 with Commissioner Sue Petipren voted against the ordinance.
