Obituary: Kerry Howe, 59, Ludington.

Kerry Lynn Howe, 59, of Ludington passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home.  Kerry was born on August 27, 1959 in Manistee, the daughter of Leonard D. and Lorna J. (Dumas) Howe, and graduated from Manistee High School with the class of 1977.  She furthered her education at Central Michigan University earning an associate’s degree in business in 1979.  Kerry was employed by State Savings Bank of Scottville (West Shore Bank) until her health no longer allowed and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Scottville.

Kerry enjoyed being outdoors surrounded by nature.  She loved to camp and canoe on the Pere Marquette River with her family, often capturing her memories thru photography and in her writings.  In her high school days, she showed her school spirit as a cheerleader and member of the band.  Her infectious laugh, love of music, dancing, and walking will be fondly remembered by her family.

Kerry will be greatly missed by her father Leonard Howe and his wife Marlys of Manistee; her mother Lorna Dumas of Ludington; her sister Susie Howe of Louisville, Colo.; her nieces and nephews, Ashley and Lucas Brys and their daughter Eva of Magalia, Cali., Christopher and Ladda Viger and their daughter Eleanor of Westminster, Colo., Bob and Kim Nothnagle and Riley Nothnagle all of Lower Lake, Cali.; her Aunt Sharon and Mark Engwall of Morristown, Tenn.; her stepbrothers and sisters, Shari and Kipp Church of Grand Rapids, Darci Scott of Manistee, Erik and Lori Bjorkquist of Henderson, Nev., and Jason and Sheila Bjorkquist of Petersburg, Ind..  Kerry is also survived by many cousins and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held for Kerry at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 17 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Scottville with her pastor, the Rev. James Schroeder officiating.  Friends may greet her family on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Those who wish to remember Kerry with a memorial donation are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
