SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — Fire destroyed an outbuilding at the Bob and Joni Lee residence, 2507 N. Reek Road Friday afternoon, Jan. 4, 2019. Joni Lee said she was inside her house and let her puppy outside when she smelled an electrical-type smoke coming from the building. When she opened the door she discovered the building was on fire. Joni said the building, which is located only a few feet from the family’s house, contained many family heirlooms.

Fountain Area Fire Department, Custer Fire Department, and Branch Fire Department were called to fight the fire. Heavy smoke could be scene from Custer, several miles away. The Fountain Area Fire Department Auxiliary also assisted.
