LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Derek Allan Lange, 32, of 704 E. First St., Ludington, was found guilty Dec. 4 of operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; 180 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend next Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/marijuana for two years; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and $1,425 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Spencer Ryan Dubridge, 21, of 5036 Stony Creek Ave., NW, Comstock Park, was found guilty Dec. 4 of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next VIP session; no alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,095 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Darcie Ann Young, 46, of 1700 Robins Rd., Grand Haven, was found guilty Dec. 4 of controlled substance use and open intoxicants and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served for Count I and two days in jail with credit for two days served for Count II; one year discretionary jail for two years for Count I; 90 days discretionary jail for two years for Count II; outpatient treatment; no alcohol/marijuana; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) two times per week for two years; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; weekly drug tests after jail term; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; and $915 in fines and costs. Charges of cocaine possession and fourth-offense habitual offender were dismissed.

– Travis Kyle Palmer, 30, of 5136 N. US 31, Sherman Township, was found guilty Dec. 4 of no insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year and $635 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jeremiah Nicholas Turner-Cloutier, 27, of 4354 N US 31, Sherman Township, was found guilty Dec. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs. Charges of expired registration and driving while license suspended were dismissed.

– Daniel James Steffen, 18, of 9833 Byron Center Ave., SW, Byron Center, was found guilty Dec. 10 of unlawful validation of deer kill tag and was sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.

– Richard William Kuehler, 54, homeless, was found guilty Dec. 6 of trespassing and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for six months; no alcohol/drugs; random PBTs; continue counseling with Community Mental Health and AA meetings; and $265 in fines and costs or perform 29 hours of community service.

– Raymond Lloyd Stakenas, 28, of 181 S. Stephens Ave., Branch Township, was found guilty Dec. 6 of failure to validate deer kill tag and was sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Kenneth John-Gordon Ayer Runk, 17, of 1749 S. Custer Rd., Custer Township, one count of failure to stop at a property damage accident was dismissed Dec. 3. “Restitution paid in full,” his court file states.
