LUDINGTON — Dann and Julie Van Dyke have been named the 2018 Mason County United Way campaign co-chairs.  The Van Dykes and a campaign cabinet of seven volunteers have set the 2018 campaign goal to be announced at a kickoff event on October 16, 2018 at the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum.

The campaign cabinet exists to support the work and mission of Mason County United Way.  Cabinet members fulfill this mission by carrying out traditional fundraising campaign activities within the local business community.

“I am honored and privileged to have the Van Dykes as this year’s campaign co-chairs,” said Lynne Russell, executive director. “We are excited about what this year’s campaign will bring with their level of leadership and enthusiasm.”

The Van Dykes have lived in Mason County on Lost Lake in Eden Township since 2007 with their daughters Emily and Gracie.  They are the owners of Cottage Works and Foam Works, both located in Amber Township.

“We are extremely humbled and honored to chair this year’s United Way campaign, it is just one small way to give back to those who make up this very special place we call home.  We look forward to a success-filled year thanks to the incredible generosity of the people in our community,” the VanDykes stated mutually.
