Ludington man, 66, sentenced up to 30 years for criminal sexual conduct against child.

LUDINGTON — A 66-year-old Ludington man was sentenced on three counts of criminal sexual conduct today in 51st Circuit Court. Ray Thomas Kelly Sr. of 203 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 5, will spend a minimum of 11 years, three months up to 30 years in prison for two counts of criminal sexual conduct second degree and one county of CSC first degree with a person under the age of 13. The victim was an 8-year-old female.

As part of the plea agreement with the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office, two additional charges of CSC first degree were dismissed. Kelly was arrested on July 19 by Ludington Police Department.

He testified on Sept. 4 that the violations occurred between April 22 and July 5 of this year at his residences in the 5400 block of West Johnson Road in Pere Marquette Township and the 200 block of South Washington Avenue.

CSC first degree is punishable by a term of 25 years to life imprisonment while CSC second degree is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.
