LUDINGTON – The following proceedings recently occurred in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Arraignments, misdemeanors 

– Timothy Stephen Murphy, 50, of 5067 Monroe Rd., Pentwater; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Oct. 8 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Johnnie Lynn Griffin, 34, of 3122 W. Anthony Rd., Riverton Township; MCSO; malicious destruction of property. Pretrial: Oct. 15 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

– Damien Jay Mitchell, 23, of 1567 W. Meisenheimer Rd., Victory Township; MCSO; operating while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: Oct. 8 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/personal recognizance.

– Cindy Sue Brumm, 55, of 3080 Tonawanda Trail, New Era; MCSO; OWI. Pretrial: Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m.. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Brooke Lynn Englebrecht, 24, no address listed; MCSO; marijuana possession. Pretrial: Oct. 8 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Tiffanie Renae Morgan, 30, of 307 E, Pere Marquette St., Ludington; Ludington Police Department; no vehicle insurance. Pretrial: Oct. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $1,500/personal recognizance.

– Richard Christopher Castaldini, 29, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Pere Marquette Township; Michigan State Police; no vehicle insurance. Pretrial: Oct. 1 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

Sentencings

– Derrick James Bisker, 25, of 1421 Broadway, Bay City, was found guilty Sept. 18 of Driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Arthur Lee Jackson, 59, of 709 1/2 Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 19 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.

– Tammy Lynne Payne, 59, of 4070 Seville Ave., Cocoa Beach, Florida, was found guilty Aug. 14 of disorderly person – disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.
