Final 2018 Big Sable Bus Day is Saturday.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association is hosting its final bus day of the 2018 season out to the Big Sable Lighthouse in the Ludington State Park on Saturday, September 22  from noon to 5 p.m. S

Musician “Fremont John” will be performing outside of the Big Sable Lighthouse.

Round-trip bus transportation to the lighthouse will be offered from the building next to the Ludington State Park office building for a fee of $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and under.  

“Our Bus Days continue to grow in popularity with our guests who want to visit the Big Sable Lighthouse,” SPLKA Director Peter Manting said. “This season alone we have been averaging around 180 visitors on each Bus Day who have taken advantage of this transportation out to Big Sable. We want to invite everyone out to enjoy the light, climb the 112-foot tower, shop in the gift shop and to stop and listen to Fremont John with his distinctive guitar style and resonating growl of a baritone voice. Music at the light will begin around 1:30 p.m.”
