79th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 17, 2018.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

– Richard Lee James, 47, of 130 W. 2nd St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 7 of operating a vehicle without a license and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and upon payment of $275 in fines and costs, discretionary jail will be reduced to six months. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.

– Drew David Amstutz, 24, no address listed, was found guilty Aug. 7 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for 17 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $595 in fines and costs. One count of receiving and concealing stolen property less than $200 was dismissed.

– Tiera Leigh Pierce, 38, of 210 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was found guilty July 24 of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; must report to jail Dec. 7 unless she has completed Impact Weekend or a 30-day inpatient treatment program; outpatient treatment; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Robert Lee Gay, Jr., 60, of 239 4th St., East Lake, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 10 of operating a vehicle while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; must attend AA twice a week for one year; Alcohol Highway Safety Education; Victims’ Impact Panel; and $895 in fines and costs. Restitution is reserved. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jaqueline Martinez, 27, of 4049 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 7 of disorderly person – public intoxication and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; Soberlink for six months; no alcohol/drugs; and $285 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly conduct – fighting was dismissed.

– Kenneth John Rise, II, 30, of 5982 Barnes Rd., Millington, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 15 of fishing with too many lines was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.

– Robert Dean Weatherspoon, 43, of 1034 Windsor Dr., Gallatin, Tennessee, was found guilty Aug. 13 of taking a deer without a license and was sentenced to $1,250 in fines and costs.

– Isabel Lee Davis, 23, of 546 Main St., Church Hill, Maryland, was found guilty Aug. 13 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.
