LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– David Robert Southern, 39, of 404 1/2 N. James St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of second-offense domestic violence and was sentenced to 105 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; jail term is concurrent with time imposed in another matter; must have a substance evaluation and follow recommendations; no contact with the victim; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and $995 in fines and costs. Charges of third-offense habitual offender and third-offense domestic violence were dismissed.

– Guilherme De-Siqueira Dos-Santos, 17, of 410 N. Main St., Scottville, was found guilty July 31 of operating a vehicle while impaired and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must perform 87 hours of community service within eight months; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend school with no unexcused absences or tardies; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of operating with a high blood alcohol content and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Jacob Matthew Howe, 25, of 2907 W. Conrad Rd., Amber Township, was found guilty July 31 of controlled substance use and was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days served; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; may complete 29 hours of community service within four months instead of paying $285 in fines and costs; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed.

– Duane Steven Lemire, 44, of 505 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty July 30 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $335 in fines and costs.

– Veronica Hernandez, 30, of 6287 W. Beech St., Hamlin Township, was found guilty Aug. 2 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
