Pig roast, car show, arts & crafts fair in Free Soil July 15.

FREE SOIL — Sunday, July 15 will be a busy day in Free Soil.

The day will include the annual Free Soil/Meade Fire Department Pig Roast, a car show, and an arts and crafts show.

The pig roast takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Free Soil Community Center on Democrat Street. It is the major fundraiser for the fire department.

The fourth annual Rides from the Past Car Show and Parts Swap Meet takes place at the ball field next to the community center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee or vendor fee. DJ Jim Carey will be spinning tunes from the ‘50s and ‘60s. There is no judging at the show.

The fifth annual arts and crafts fair takes place at the Free Soil Town Hall on Michigan Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors should call Gregg at 231-464-5454.

Both the car show and the arts and crafts fair are sponsored by the Free Soil Community Schools Alumni Association.
