LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Scott David Alexander, 56, of 2233 N. Sherman Rd., Hamlin Township, was found guilty July 3 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served or complete Impact Weekend Program within four months; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; one year probation; no alcohol/drugs; must complete the DUI2 program; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Bruce Lamont Henderson, 26, of 104 McKee St., Manistee, pleaded “no contest” June 27 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a mental health evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; no contact with the victim; and $660 in fines and costs.

– Abigail Grace Westhouse, 24, of 6673 W. Nurnberg Rd., Grant Township, pleaded “no contest” June 26 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; may perform 20 hours of community service within three months as a credit toward fines and costs; $1.37 in restitution; and $660 in fines and costs.

– Joshua Daniel-Riggs Easton, 38, of 5855 W. 5th St., Mears, was found guilty July 2 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; one year probation; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Nicole Lynn Young, 23, of 7575 8th St., Stanwood, was found guilty June 19 of attempted larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 45 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Economic Crimes Program within six months; and $350 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense larceny less than $200 was dismissed.

– Ryan Allen Lilje, 30, of 695 N. Benson Rd., Sheridan Township, was found guilty June 26 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; outpatient counseling; must attend Impact Weekend within four months; no alcohol/drugs; must attend AA twice a week for two years; subject to random PBTs; and $1,275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jenna Diane Myers, 24, of 308 E. Court St., Ludington, was found guilty June 26 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $725 in fines and costs.

– Toni Lee Strahan, 38, of 203 Second St., Ludington, was found guilty June 26 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; must attend the DUI2 program; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the next session of the Victim Impact Panel; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $1,135 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of open intoxicants, operating with a high BAC and PBT refusal were dismissed.

– Stephen Allan Lange, 45, of 109 W. Dowland St., Ludington, was found guilty June 26 of domestic violence and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient counseling; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and $595 in fines and costs.

– Michael Kenneth Frey, 26, of 1218 S. Madison St., Ludington, was found guilty July 5 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Richard Lee Beck, 45, of 220 Second St., Scottville, was found guilty June 28 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

– Brian Kelly Smith, 28, of 371 W. Main St., Hart, one count of DWLS was dismissed June 27 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
