LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Jeffrey Richard Gowell, 57, of 878 Emerson Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty May 30 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 33 days in jail with credit for 32 days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must complete Teen Challenge and follow aftercare requirements; must attend AA three times per week for two years; must attend Victim Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and $1,655 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Lisa Irene McMinn, 58, of 2854 Vulcan St., Muskegon, was found guilty May 29 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 53 days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; outpatient treatment; must report to jail for 21 days immediately; in four months, must report to jail for 30 days unless she has completed Impact Weekend; must attend AA two times per week for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,630 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Armandos Oliveros-Urieta, 38, of 500 S. Union St., Hart, was found guilty June 7 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for 45 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $285 in fines and costs. One felony count of assault by strangulation was dismissed.

– Shannon Marie Wonnacott, 48, of 3792 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Ludington, was found guilty June 5 of attempted third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 45 days days discretionary jail for one year; outpatient counseling; and $300 in fines and costs.

– Kathleen Marie Carpenter, 53, of 24701 Jefferson St., Dowagiac, was found guilty May 30 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Saige Elizabeth Miller, 18, of 610 E. Dowland St., Ludington, was found guilty by the court of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and may perform 73 hours of community service within eight months or pay fines and costs of $725.

– Michael Edward Roberts, 30, of 198 N. Gordon Rd., Scottville, was found guilty by the court May 25 of disorderly person – public intoxication and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $285 in fines and costs. One count of prowling – disorderly was dismissed.

– Michael Mason Durham, 28, of 302 N. Robert, Ludington, was found guilty June 11 of prowling – disorderly and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victims and not to go near their property; and $285 in fines and costs.

– Jamie Garrel Barrington, 25, of 423 Sugar Grove Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 7 of stray dog/loose-running dog and was sentenced to $42 restitution and $160 in fines and costs.

– Jonathan Stephen-William Morong, 25, of 730 W. US 10, Scottville, was found guilty June 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Brian Edmund Petzak, 56, of 408 6th St., Ludington, was found guilty of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Michael Stanley Albert, 74, of 8641 E. Barx Rd., Chase, Michigan, was found guilty June 7 of undersize bass and was sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.

– Steven Todd Parquet, 42, of 5473 Engel Rd., Palmyra, Michigan, was found guilty June 6 of taking a deer without a license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $1,250 in fines and costs.

– Matthew Louis-Leo Bruce, 49, of 6992 E. US 10, Fountain, was found guilty June 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Vincent Louis Grassa, 46, of 1817 W. Conrad Rd., Ludington, was found guilty June 4 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs.

– Jermarko Terry Moore, 35, of 929 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was found guilty June 4 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; continue counseling with community mental health; and $285 in fines in costs or perform 29 hours of community service.

– Richard Joseph Bremer, 38, of 606 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty May 29 of disorderly conduct – fighting and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and no alcohol/drugs. One count of second-offense domestic violence was dismissed.

– Matthew Allen McGovern, 29, of 240 E. Gibson, Branch, was found guilty May 29 of reckless driving and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; must report to jail Oct. 1 unless he has completed Impact Weekend; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while impaired and open intoxicants were dismissed.

– Angela Maria Courteau, 40, of 5525 W. Johnson Rd., Ludington, was found guilty May 29 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; must attend VIP; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); subject to random PBTs; and $645 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Eleasar Esparaza, Jr., 26, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Ludington, was found guilty May 29 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 12 days served; outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; may perform 40 hours of community service for credit toward fines and costs; must attend AA twice a week for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $743.21 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Andy Jacob Nelson, 54, of 5355 W. Jagger Rd., Ludington, was found guilty May 29 of ORV – operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend VIP; must not operate an ORV for 90 days; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and and drug tests; and $870 in fines and costs. Charges of ORV – operating under the influence, failure to license an ORV and marijuana possession were dismissed.

Dismissals

– Michael Duane Wolf, 40, of 126 N. Clark St., Mesick, one count of defrauding an innkeeper was dismissed May 25. “Restitution has been paid,” court records state.

– Brian Keith Huggard, 59, of 605 7th St., Ludington, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Jason Michael Perrone, 35, of 580 W. Marrison Rd., Pentwater, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– William Graywolf Wilson, 26, of 4677 Fisher Rd., Ludington, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Amber Renee Mihalik, 23, of 179 8th St., Manistee, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Brandi Kay-Ann Cook, 22, of 4687 N. Victory Corner Rd., Ludington, one count of failure to stop at a property damage accident was dismissed May 25 after she pleaded to a lesser charge.

– Bryant Ray Selby, 21, of 7895 W. US 10, Branch, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Brandon Todd Davis, 30, of 303 E. Foster St., Ludingon, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Kenneth Larry Nickerson, 53, homeless, one count of failure to comply with sex offender reporting duties was dismissed June 6. “Defendant is due to be sentenced to federal prison,” his court file states. “This case would likely be a concurrent sentence of equal or less time, which renders further prosecution an unnecessary expenditure of resources.”

– Mark Anthony Verschueren, 34, of 127 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Scottville, two counts of uttering and publishing were dismissed May 24. “Defendant has entered into a repayment agreement with the victim. The ends of justice do not require further prosecution,” court records state.

– Douglas Gordon LeClair, 63, of 3516 W. Hansen Rd., Ludington, one count of DWLS was dismissed May 25. “Defendant has corrected his license,” court records state.

– Timothy Stewart Rogers, 37, of 531 Dorothy Bowen Dr., Sheridan, one count of DWLS was dismissed May 25 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
