Weekend police activity included heroin, drunk driving arrests.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Ludington man who locked himself in a gas station bathroom for over two hours was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, March 16, 2018, for possession of heroin. Deputies were called to Airport Shell, 5445 W. US 10, at 8:19 p.m. for a report of a person who had locked himself in the bathroom. According to Sheriff Kim Cole, when deputies made contact with the man, he was found in possession of an uncapped syringe and spoon which contained suspected heroin.

  • 1:53 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10-31 west of Gordon Road, Amber Township.
  • 2:40 a.m., Michigan State Police (MSP), a 32-year-old Shelby woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), US 31 and Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.
  • 3:50 a.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain Road east of US 31, Sherman Township.
  • 5:49 a.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD), larceny, 700 block of West Ludington Ave.
  • 6:30 a.m., MCSO, single vehicle crash, no injuries, Bockstanz and Goff roads, Branch Township. Branch Township Fire Department also dispatched.
  • 8:35 a.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, 4300 block of South Masten Road, Logan Township.
  • 12:28 p.m., LPD, assault in progress, 200 block of East Dowland Street.
  • 3:33 p.m., two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 and US 10, Amber Township.

  • 12:14 a.m., MSP, a 19-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for driving without a license, Ludington Avenue near First Street, City of Ludington.
  • 12:33 a.m., a 33-year-old Custer woman was arrested by MCSO and charged with OWI, second arrest, following a single vehicle crash on Darr Road south of US 10 in Custer Township. No injuries reported.
  • 8:55 a.m., MSP, malicious destruction of property, a door was damaged, 100 block of First Street, City of Scottville.
  • 10:45 a.m., MSP, domestic assault, under investigation, 2000 block of West Groth Road, Victory Township.
  • 6 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 and Forest Trail, Grant Township.
  • 7:12 p.m., a 38-year-old Scottville woman was arrested by MCSO for OWI following a two vehicle crash on Jackson Road, south of US 10 in Pere Marquette Township. No injuries reported.
  • 8:35 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road north of US 10-31, Amber Township.
  • 9:30 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Johnson and Stephens roads, Custer Township.

  • 11:34 a.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove and Amber roads, Victory Township.
  • 12:10 p.m., MCSO, two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Walhalla Road, Branch Township.
  • 5:08 p.m., a 50-year-old Scottville man was arrested by MCSO for OWI second offense, and driving while license suspended, on Conrad Road west of Scottville Road in Riverton Township. The arrest was made following a report of a suspicious vehicle.
