2 injured in Free Soil Twp. crash.

FREE SOIL TOWNSHIP — Two people were injured Monday afternoon during a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hoague and Darr roads. The crash occurred when a Ford F-150, heading south on Darr Road, failed to stop for the stop sign and struck a Jeep Liberty heading west on Hoague Road, according to deputies on scene.

The Ford was driven by a 28-year-old Wellston man while the Jeep was driven by a 19-year-old Manistee man. Both were transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Grant Township Fire and Rescue, Free Soil/Meade Fire Department, and Life EMS.
