Conservation District meeting/dinner is Feb. 8.

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason-Lake Conservation District will hold its annual meeting and dinner banquet on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., at the Scottville Optimist Center, doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Guest speaker Autumn Noteware will share her experiences producing pasture-raised poultry at the well-known Polyface Farms in Virginia. This farm is famous for its use of chicken tractors, the Gobbledygo, egg mobiles and the Millennium feather net; all part of the holistic approach to raising poultry. The evening will wrap up by presenting awards for Outstanding Conservationist Award, Volunteer of the Year, announcing results of the Board of Directors election as well as raffle and door prize winners.

Tickets are $13 per person and can be reserved by calling the Conservation District Office at (231) 757-3707 ext 5. RSVP is requested by January 26. No ticket purchase is necessary to vote for the director election. Ballots will be available at the door.
