HART — The Michigan State Police Hart post has announced that a Citizens’ Academy will run Nov. 7-30.

The four-week academy will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  It will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of MSP; understand the procedures that troopers follow; increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community; and get to know personnel at the Hart post.

The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m. A graduation ceremony is set for Thursday, Nov. 30.

Individuals who are interested in attending the Citizens’ Academy should contact Trooper Todd Goodrich of the Hart post at 231-873-2171 or via email at [email protected] to receive an application.
