PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for evidence today at the Ludington Area School District forest along Jebavy Drive between Johnson and Bryant roads, where the body of a 28-year-old man was found on the disc golf course Sunday evening. Sheriff Kim Cole said that he does not believe that there are any public safety concerns with what he is calling a “suspicious” death.

The body was found on the Leviathan disc golf course. Detectives, deputies, and fire department personnel are concentrating their efforts near Jebavy Drive on the north side of the golf course.

“The death is suspicious and, at this point, we are awaiting autopsy results,” Sheriff Cole said this morning. “We anticipate an autopsy to be performed today.”
