Hospital to hold blood drive Thursday.

LUDINGTON — A public blood drive will be held at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital on Thursday, September 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.The blood drive is open to the public.

The blood collection event will be conducted by the hospital’s non-profit blood supply partner, Michigan Blood, in the classrooms on the lower level. The most convenient parking and entrance is on the north side of the hospital off Lawndale Street.  Blood donated through Spectrum Health and Michigan Blood stays in Michigan to help local patients, however, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, MI Blood is temporarily assisting with blood banks in the disaster areas so your donation could assist those in need there.

It is also possible to donate blood for your own planned use. Appointments are encouraged, but not required.
