79th District Court sentencings.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:

– Chadwick Brian Tolin, 26, of 234 1/2 5th St., Manistee, was found guilty Aug. 8 of driving while license suspended (DWLS); no insurance; and failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for two years for the first two counts; 90 days discretionary jail for the third count; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; and $1,065 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Counts of receiving and concealing stolen property $200-$1,000; improper plates; and willful and malicious destruction of a traffic control device were dismissed.

– Carrie Ann Carr, 35, of 6571 E. Beech St., Fountain, was found guilty Aug. 14 of disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs.

– Renee Nicole Beer, 27, of 206 1/2 1st St., Ludington, was found guilty July 25 of controlled substance use and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days; one year discretionary jail for two years; outpatient treatment; no alcohol/drugs; must maintain employment; must not associate with any illegal drug users; must attend Narcotics Anonymous (NA) two times per week for two years; and $855 in fines and costs. One count of narcotic/cocaine possession less than 25 grams and one count analogue possession were dismissed.

– Michael James Hill, 29, of 2827 N. Sandy Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 8 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for two years; and $665 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Terry Lee Lange, 35, of 326 S. Main St., Custer, was found guilty Aug. 8 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for six days served; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 30 days; one year discretionary jail for two years; and $665 in fines and costs.

– Bradley Damon Bogner, 44, of 6892 Abrahamson Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 9 of failure to stop at the scene of an accident and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of unlawful driving away of an automobile; one count of failure to stop or identify after an accident; and one count of DWLS were dismissed.

– Crysta Marie Martin, 30, of 113 Lancaster Lane, Lot 33, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,000 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Mark Lewis Verschuren, 35, of 828 Mikell Dr., Wellston, was found guilty Aug. 8 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days; $535 in fines and costs; and no alcohol/drugs.

– Tara Lynn Bowers, 36, of 4679 E. First St., Custer, was found guilty Aug. 8 of operating an unregistered vehicle; operating without insurance; and unlawful license plate use and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $540 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year for counts one and three; and one year discretionary jail for one year for count two. Another count of no insurance was dismissed.

– Dustin Ried Southern, 30, of 213 1/2 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 8 of second-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $535 in fines in costs or perform 54 hours of community service within six months.

Dismissals

– Mark Allen VanDyke, 54, of 609 E. Danaher St., Ludington, one count of indecent exposure and one count of disorderly person – obscene conduct were dismissed Aug. 10. “People cannot prove defendant knowingly committed crime beyond a reasonable doubt,” his court file states.

– Bonnie Louise Zeller, 52, of 610 E. Danaher St., Ludington, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Aug. 10.

– Faye Beth Hildebrand, 36, of 1665 Minoka Trail, Okemos, Michigan, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Aug. 10.

– Antonio Luna, Jr., 36, of 2919 E. Scout Rd., Hart, one count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed Aug. 10. “Defendant cooperated with prosecution,” his court file states.
