LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Arthur Frederick Bennett, 54, of 6000 E. Free Soil Rd., Meade Township, pleaded guilty July 18 to operating an ORV while impaired and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol; must have Soberlink installed in vehicle; must complete outpatient program; must attend victim’s impact panel; 24 months of probation; and $1,455 in fines/costs.

-Jeffery Allison Saylors, 45, PO Box 512, Ludington, pleaded guilty July 18 to operating a motor vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; 12 months of probation; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Daniel Leon King, 34, of 308 E. Court St., Apt. 11, Ludington, pleaded guilty July 18 to malicious destruction of personal property and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; subject to random PBTs; 12 months of probation; and $100 in restitution, and $600 in fines/costs.

-Christopher Allen Redwood, 30, PO Box 655, Ludington, pleaded guilty July 18 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; must attend victim’s impact panel; must complete alcohol highway safety program; 12 months of probation; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Charles Andrew Weber, 60, of 308 E. Filer St., Ludington, pleaded guilty July 18 to OWIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete outpatient treatment; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend AA two times per week; 12 months of probation; and $905 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed.

-Dean Jackson Cunningham, 61, of 19505 S. Chapin Rd., Henderson, Michigan, pleaded guilty July 18 to operating a vehicle while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; must complete outpatient treatment; must attend victim’s impact panel; 12 months of probation; and $920 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Laura Jean Keith, 49, of 7543 Alma Ct., Westland, Michigan, pleaded guilty July 19 to breaking & entering a vehicle to steal property and larceny less than $200. She was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must continue mental health counseling; 12 months of probation; and $175 in fines/costs.

-Kurtis Dean Woodard, 34, of 4596 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty July 18 to domestic violence and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; must submit to random PBT and drug tests; must complete outpatient treatment; 12 months of probation; and $570 in fines/costs.

Tia Lyn Verboam-Odekirk, 29, of 2928 N. Peterson Rd., Victory Township, pleaded guilty July 19 to larceny and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; 24 months of probation; and $600 in fines/costs. May perform 30 hours of community service for a $300 reduction in fines/costs. A charge of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent was dismissed.

-Eleasar Esparza, 25, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded no contest July 19 to disorderly person – public intoxication and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; 12 months of probation and $285 in fines/costs.

-Dylan James Hansen, 23, of 71 S. Campbell Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty July 19 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; 12 months of probation; and $285 in fines/costs.

-John Richard Booker, 62, of 3617 S. Countyline Rd., Free Soil Township, pleaded guilty July 20 to driver transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for one year; 24 months of probation; and $265 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

Peter Allen Jabrocki, 50, of 94 N. Meyers Rd., Amber Township, pleaded guilty July 18 to improper plates and failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to pay $440 in fines/costs. A charge of alter/force/falsify vehicle document or license plate was dismissed.

Dismissals

-Taylor Cameron Schimke, 18, of 4080 S. Stiles Rd., Riverton Township, had a charge of possession of marijuana dismissed on July 24 as part of a plea agreement in Circuit Court.

-Michael Paul Allen, 48, of 2728 N. Lincoln Rd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on July 18. According to court records, the “interests of justice were corrected.”

-Jodie Marie Phillips, 43, of 302 ½ N. James St., Apt. 2, Ludington, had a charge of driving while license suspended  (DWLS) dismissed on July 18. According to court records, the “interests of justice were corrected.”

-Kraid Alan Rowland, 56, of 414 Thornwild Dr., Apt. B3, Scottville, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on July 18 after providing proof of insurance.

-Dean Jackson Cunningham, Jr., 61, of 19505 Chapin Rd., Henderson, Michigan, had a charge of possession of marijuana dismissed with prejudice on the motion of the prosecutor on July 19.
