New optometrist joins Riemer Eye Center team. 

LUDINGTON — Optometrist Felicia Slate has begun working at Riemer Eye Center. Dr. Slate will see patients in the practice’s Ludington, Manistee, and Shelby offices.

“I am very excited to be starting my career in West Michigan where I grew up, and specifically at Riemer Eye Center where I’m looking forward to developing personal relationships with all of my patients,” she said.

Dr. Slate offers primary care optometry for both adults and pediatric patients through comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lens fittings and low vision care.

In May 2017, Dr. Slate achieved her doctor of optometry from Ferris State University; she also completed her undergraduate studies at Ferris State. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association and has been involved in the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program. She interned at the Grand Rapids Veterans Affairs Clinic and also the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
