Discovering Diabetes presentation at Ludington library Wednesday. 

LUDINGTON — Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital’s Win with Wellness Fit Club is hosting a presentation on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Mason County District Library, Ludington branch called, “Discovering Diabetes.”

Rebecca Patterson, registered dietician, from Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital will lead the discussion on type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes). She will focus on the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, who is at risk for type 1 diabetes, misconceptions about type 1 diabetes, and how children manage the disease.

Two local children who have type 1 diabetes will also share their stories during the event.

The Discovering Diabetes presentation is part of the Fit Club summer library series. The events are free and open to the public.
