LUDINGTON — Four “high-end” bicycles were stolen from Cartier Park Campground, and a wallet was stolen from a vehicle at the campground, said Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett.

“On July 13, 2017, the Ludington Police Department received reports of four bicycle thefts and one larceny from a vehicle (wallet) at Cartier Park Campground located at 1254 N. Lakeshore Drive in Ludington,” Barnett stated. “The thefts occurred between the hours of 10 p.m. on July 12 and 6:30 a.m. on July 13, 2017. The only bicycles that were stolen were ‘high-end’ bikes, so it would appear that the suspect(s) knew what they were looking for.”

The stolen bicycles include: a lime green Trek Mountain Bike, a black and green Jamis Mountain Bike, a silver and black Jamis Mountain Bike, and a black framed Minnesota bike with red rims.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Mason-Oceana 911 at (231) 869-5858 or contact Det. Aaron Sailor directly at (231) 843-3425.
