79th District Court sentencings and dismissals.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Evan James Robison, 18, of 909 S. Madison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty June 13, 2017 to failure to report an accident and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend victim’s impact panel; two months of probation and $350 in fines/costs. A charge of operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor (OUIL) underage with a blood alcohol content between .02 to .07 was dismissed.

-Christopher Keith Clancy, 47, of 6434 Cherry St., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty June 13, 2017 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete a substance abuse evaluation; must attend victim’s impact panel; 12 months of probation; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Daniel Aaron VanKampen, 27, of 2985 N. Gordon Rd., Victory Township, pleaded guilty June 13 to operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 180 days discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol; must complete substance abuse counseling; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend alcohol highway safety program; must attend AA two times per week for two years; 24 months of probation; and $1,710 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Marian Charlyn Bowen, 70, of 4947 Autumn Ln., Muskegon, pleaded guilty June 15 to having an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and was sentenced to pay $265 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Armando Rocha, Jr., 43, of 6827 N. 126th Ave., Apt. 6, Hart, pleaded guilty June 13 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $585 in fines/costs.

-Jacob Andrew Hernandez, 26, of 1649 N. Victory Corners Rd., Amber Township, pleaded guilty June 15 to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to pay $285 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Paige Renee Perysian, 24, of 6240 Third St., Holton, pleaded guilty June 13 to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; must submit to random drug tests; driver’s license suspended for 180 days and restricted for 150 days; and $535 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Megan Elizabeth Durham, 26, of 315 S. James St., Apt. 1, Ludington, pleaded guilty June 13 to OWIL and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend alcohol highway safety program; must attend victim’s impact panel; 12 months of probation; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Terri Michelle Williams, 35, of 161 E. Cleveland, Muskegon Heights, pleaded guilty June 13 to DWLS and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $250 in fines/costs. May perform six hours of community service in lieu of fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) was dismissed.

Dismissals

-William Craig Buchanan, 30, of 7736 W. Fox Rd., Mears, had a charge of operating a vehicle while license suspended (OWLS) dismissed on June 9. According to court records, “Cannot prove beyond reasonable doubt that defendant was suspended at time he drove vehicle.”

-Stephen Joseph Millen, 19, of 4507 Maiden Rd., Onekama, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed on June 9. According to court records, “Interests of justice do not require prosecution.”

-Will Allen Wiegand, 28, of 501 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed on June 9. According to court records, “Defendant pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of no proof of insurance.”
