LUDINGTON — A 44-year-old Pere Marquette Township man pleaded guilty Tuesday, April 4, in 51st Circuit Court to felony counts of delivery of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver marijuana following a drug raid by narcotics officers last February.

Joshua Paul Barnaby, of 3073 S. Pere Marquette Highway, was arrested last February by the State, Sheriffs, Chiefs Enforcement Narcotics Team (SSCENT) after officers seized 223 marijuana plants, 21.25 pounds of marijuana and 79 grams of butane hash oil from his home, said Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola.

Two counts of felony firearms were dismissed in a plea agreement, which calls for Barnaby serving one year in jail.

His sentence will also include suspension of his driver’s license for one year, with a restricted license after 60 days, Spaniola said.

Barnaby’s case runs concurrently to an Allegan County drug case, the prosecutor said.

Sentencing is set for May 30 at 1:45 p.m.
