Rendezvous Bar donates to Friends of Sheriff’s Office fund.

WALHALLA — Riley’s Rendezvous Bar donated $1,000 to the Friends of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Friday. The money was raised during a bean bag toss tournament held earlier this month at the bar, along with 50/50 drawings that were held during the Superbowl and also the Daytona 500.

The Friends of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office is a fund held at the Community Foundation for Mason County and is used to fund outreach programs by the sheriff’s office. In 2016 the Rendezvous also donated to the fund with the money earmarked for the school security campaign.

Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said the funds will be used to help programs that will assist at risk youth and senior citizens.
