Congratulations Orioles! Onward to the Breslin Center.

We would like to congratulate the Ludington High School Orioles Varsity Boys Basketball team for advancing to the Michigan state semifinals. The team has had an incredible year and the accomplishment of this team and the support of Oriole fans should be commended. This team has shown a sense of unity and faith that demonstrates the true spirit of athletics in education, which is to develop citizens who understand the value of working hard and who understand the value of teamwork.

All of Mason County stands with the Orioles as they embark on this journey to represent us at the Breslin Center at Michigan State University.

The Orioles (24-2) will compete against River Rouge (24-1) on Friday, March 24, at 7:50 p.m. If they win, they will take on the winner of the New Haven vs. Benton Harbor game on Saturday.

Editor’s Note: Mason County Press does not have a sports department at this time, which means that we do not consistently cover sports. However, we believe that this accomplishment is certainly newsworthy.
