The following were recently arraigned in 79th District Court:

Felonies

Nieves

-Andre Nieves, 18, of 7406 N. Alexander Rd., Grant Township, was arrested Mar. 9 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearms, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended (DWLS).  Preliminary hearing:  Mar. 29 at 11:15 a.m.  Bail:  $50,000 cash.

Freese

-Shannon Marie Freese, 30, of 8175 E. Johnson Rd., Branch Township, was arrested Mar. 6 by MCSO on a felony charge of second-offense operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor (OWIL) with a passenger.  Preliminary hearing:  Mar. 29 at 11:15 a.m.  Bail:  $15,000 cash/surety.

Lijewski

-Montana Starr Lijewski, 19, of 4605 Caberfae Hwy., Manistee, was arrested Mar. 4 by Michigan State Police (MSP) on a felony charge of altering/forging/falsifying vehicle documents and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and operating without security (no vehicle insurance).  Preliminary hearing:  Mar. 29 at 11:15 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500/10 percent.

West

-Richard Lee West, Sr., 72, of 416 W. Beyer Rd., Victory Township, was arrested Mar. 6 by State, Sheriffs, Chiefs Enforcement Narcotics Team (SSCENT) on a felony charge of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance.  Preliminary hearing:  Mar. 29 at 11:15 a.m.  Bail:  $3,500 personal.

Misdemeanors

-Griffen Dominic Gruse, 19, of 1281 N. Hillside Dr., Pere Marquette Township; Mar. 11; MCSO; possession of marijuana and two counts of minor in possession.  Pretrial:  Apr. 3 at 10:15 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500/10 percent.

-Chad Fredrick Collins, 25, of 5841 N. Reek Rd., Sherman Township; Mar. 12; MCSO; possession of marijuana, operating without security (no vehicle insurance), unlawful use of plates, and operating without a license.  Pretrial:  Apr. 3 at 1:45 p.m.  Bail:  $2,500/10 percent.

-Jefferson Jaramillo, 23, of 17352 NW 74th Ave., Apt. 101, Hialeah, Florida; Mar. 9; MCSO; possession of marijuana.  Pretrial:  Apr. 3 at 2:30 p.m.  Bail:  $10,000 cash.

-Russell Eugene Bailey, 44, of 10540 Ryan Rd., Honor; Mar. 9; MSP; operating while intoxicated (OWI).  Pretrial:  Apr. 10 at 10:30 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500/10 percent.

-Paul Edmond Turner, 31, of 405 N. William St., Ludington; Mar. 5; Ludington Police Department (LPD); operating with a high blood alcohol content and OWI.  Pretrial:  Apr. 3 at 11 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500/10 percent.

-Sergio Ramon Escamilla, 23, of 2919 E. Scout Rd., Hart; Mar. 9; MCSO; second-degree retail fraud.  Pretrial:  Apr. 10 at 9:45 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500 personal.

-Antonio Luna, Jr., 34, of 2919 E. Scout Rd., Hart; Mar. 9; MCSO; third-degree retail fraud.  Pretrial:  Apr. 10 at 9:30 a.m.  Bail:  $2,500 personal.

-Richard Lee James, 46, of 4019 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Summit Township; Mar. 7; MCSO; DWLS.  Pretrial:  Apr. 10 at 10 a.m.  Bail:  $1,500/10 percent.

-Bradley Alan Mann, 24, of 6690 Borowski Rd., Sheridan Township; Mar. 9; MSP; failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and unlawful plates.  Pretrial:  Mar. 27 at 1:30 p.m.  Bail:  $1,500 personal.

-Terre Rashida Green, 21, of 5648 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township; Mar. 9; MSP; failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and improper plates.  Pretrial:  Apr. 10 at 10:45 a.m.  Bail:  $1,500 personal.
