First Street construction begins this today.

LUDINGTON — Construction work will take place on First Street beginning today, Tuesday, March 14 with a completion date of approximately April 15. The street will remain open, however there will be a lane shift to allow through traffic. 

According to a memo from the City of Ludington, the contractor, Hallack Contracting Co. of Hart, will do everything possible to allow access to the street from residents’ driveways.  Refuse should be placed at the curb as normal on the regular scheduled day by 7 a.m.

The project consists of the partial removal and replacement of the pavement to install a new water main.
