Obituary: David Weston, 76, Ludington.

David Michael Weston, 76, of Ludington, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Holland Hospital in Holland.
Dave was born on August 11, 1940 in Paw Paw to the late Kenneth Weston and Bernadine (Zywicki) Quammen. He served in the United States Army from June 1958 to May 1964. He married Nancy Eileen (Fillips) Weston on August 19, 1961. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2009. Dave was a City of Ludington Police Officer for 32 Years until his retirement in July 1997 and served as a Ludington city councilor for 12 years from 1998 to 2009.
Dave is survived by his three daughters: Debbie (Bennett) Buckner of Texas, Trina (Todd) Sokolow of Grand Haven, and Kerry Doda of Holland; five grandchildren: Scottie Buckner-Smith, Riley and Brooke Sokolow and McKenzie and Cale Doda; one great-granddaughter, Piper Smith; three great grandchildren: Zane, Khloe, and Piper Lynn Smith; two sisters: Donna Harcourt and Sue Ann Kreger, both of Florida; his aunt, Caroline, of Ludington; along with many nieces and nephews.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Wayne Wheeler celebrant. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at St. Simon Catholic Church on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m.
