AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 35-year-old Scottville man was uninjured after the vehicle he was driving crashed into the Fireworks Depot, at the intersection of US 10-31 and Dennis Road Monday afternoon. The store was closed at the time of the crash.

According to Mason County sheriff deputies on the scene, the vehicle was traveling east on US 10-31; witnesses reported to 911 that the man was driving recklessly when his vehicle left the roadway and smashed through the building’s front window at 22 N. Dennis Road.

After performing a field sobriety test, deputies ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash. The man received a citation for reckless driving.
