Receiving accolades for at least 1,000 hours of service in their volunteer careers were, l. to r., Judy Thiel, 16,000 hours; Joyce Rupert and Beverly Curtis, 1,000; Shirley Wright, 4,000; Karen Posma, 2,000; and Allan Carlson, 7,000. Also recognized were Bethany Norton, Joyce Stancill and Zelal Umran, 1,000, and Terri Langerak, 2,000.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital honored its volunteers Thursday night with a banquet at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.The hospital’s 110 active volunteers gave more than 21,000 hours of service to the hospital and community in the past year. All volunteers were invited to the dinner with special recognition given to volunteers who have clocked 100 hours, 500 hours, and over 1,000 hours.

A large group of hospital volunteers surpassed 500 career volunteer hours during the last year. They are, from left: Laurel Smith, Monica McDonald, Sheila Preston, Jackie Krieger, Mary Ann Hagemeyer, Jane Campbell, Roberta Belote, M.A. Ferguson, Bobbie Severance-Roach, and David Young. Also honored for this level of service was Sue Ann Zill.
