Gloria Jean Smith, 75, of Walhalla passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.  Gloria was born on March 3, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of Paul and Clara (Dice) Hagan, and graduated from St. James High School in Ferndale.  She furthered her education at Oakland Community College before she married Jerry W. Smith on September 15, 1959 in Ferndale.  Jerry preceded her in death in 2006.  Gloria was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Alexis.

She will be greatly missed by her sisters: Constance Hart, Mary Goldsworthy, and Kathryn Pomeroy; her nieces and nephews: Karen Darnall, Kimberly Mackey, David Goldsworthy, Tina Tripp, Joseph Bialk, and Jeffry Bialk.

Funeral services will be held for Gloria at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 29 at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services – Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville.  Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery.  Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.  Those who wish to make a memorial donation are encouraged to make it to a charity of their choice.
