LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 51st Circuit Court:

– Carlos Jesus Gomez, 16, 6454 Sage St., Doraville, Georgia, pleaded guilty on July 5 to receiving and concealing stolen firearms and third-degree home invasion. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 99 days already served, 36 months of probation, and $17,289.04 in fines, costs and restitution. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dismissed charges of first-degree home invasion and felony firearms.

– Miguel Andres Garcia, 16, 3175 Medlock Bridge Rd., Norcross, Georgia, pleaded guilty on July 5 to receiving and concealing stolen firearms and third-degree home invasion. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 99 days already served, 36 months of probation, and $17,289.04 in fines, costs and restitution. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dismissed charges of first-degree home invasion and felony firearms.

– Janice Lee McClung, 58, 1416 Edgewood Dr., Holland, pleaded no contest on June 21 to third-degree fleeing police, second-offense operating while under the influence, and failure to maintain security (no insurance) and was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 40 days already served, must serve three months up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion, vehicle must be immobilized, 30 days of community service, 18 months of probation, and $2,053.20 in fines, costs and restitution. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dropped a charge of habitual offender second offense.

– Avel Molina Escamilla, 56, 5648 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty on July 5 to malicious destruction of police property and fourth-offense habitual offender. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 74 days already served, must serve 180 days up front, 24 months of probation and $1,287.80 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Robert William Wicks, 24, 2273 N. Tallman Lake Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty on Just 5 to first-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for three days already served, 24 months of probation, and $658 in fines and costs. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dropped a charge of habitual offender second offense. Wicks pleaded guilty in a separate file on July 5 to retaining a financial transaction device without consent and was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for three days already served, must serve nine months up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion, 24 months of probation, and $4,401.54 in fines, costs and restitution. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dropped a charge of second-offense habitual offender.

-Clayton Charles Machiela, 24, 5824 N. Larson Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty on July 5 to illegal use of a financial transaction device and larceny from a building. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 98 days already served, must serve 90 days up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion, 18 months of probation, and $1,426 in fines, costs and restitution. As part of a plea agreement, the prosecutor dropped a charge of safe breaking.
