LUDINGTON — A 24-year-old Sheridan Township man was sentenced in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Aug. 16, to serve 90 days up front of a one-year discretionary jail term for convictions of larceny in a building and sale of a financial transaction device.

Clayton Charles Machiela, of 5824 N. Larson Rd., was also ordered to serve 18 months probation and pay restitution of $700.

Sentencing guidelines are 0-11 months, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski. Machiela received credit for 98 days served in jail, which allowed for his release today.
