Motorcyclist dead after striking Grant Twp. home.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 54-year-old Ludington man died Friday afternoon following a single vehicle motorcycle crash in northern Mason County. Firefighters on scene said they were told by witnesses that the man was driving south on US 31 when his motorcycle and a wagon it was pulling left the roadway, went into a yard and struck the residence at 7953 N. US 31. Medical first responders said it was likely the man died from a medical condition rather than from injuries. The crash caused damage to the exterior and interior of the home.

The crash remains under investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
