PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — One person was injured following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of US 10 and Jebavy Drive Friday afternoon. The crash occurred about 12:10 p.m. when a Subaru, driven by a 62-year-old Ludington, was traveling east on US 10 and failed to stop for the traffic light, according to Sgt. Adam Lamb of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, who witnessed the crash.

The Subaru collided with a Chevrolet 1500 pickup driven by a 24-year-old Ludington man who was traveling north of Jebavy Drive. The driver of the pickup told MCP he was stopped at the intersection and then proceeded when the light turned green, which is when the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Subaru was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance. The driver of the pickup was uninjured. Lamb said he expected to ticket the driver of the Subaru for failing to stop at a traffic signal.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Pere Marquette Township Fire Department and Life EMS ambulance.
