SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Clown Band performs on its home stage, the Scottville Clown Band Shell, tonight for its annual Patriotic Concert. Most of the Americana themed songs are performed exclusively during this show, which begins at 7 p.m. The Scottville Optimist Club will be selling bratwursts, hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn and beverages while the band will also be asking the audience to contribute to its George F. Wilson Memorial Endowment Fund, which has been established through the Community Foundation for Mason County to provide scholarships for children attending summer performing arts camps.

The band will perform Wednesday evening for residents of area nursing homes and assisted living centers. It continues its local performances Sunday at 4 p.m. for the Manistee National Forest Festival First Street beach show and then will march in the Manistee National Forest Festival parade in Manistee at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, and then the Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival parade at 2 p.m. Following the Ludington parade, the band will perform a short show near the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Lakeshore Drive (the Lakeside Motel) and then will play at the American Legion on North James Street.
