HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Hamlin Grocery owner Vaughn Flewelling has gone missing, according to family members, who have posted on Facebook that he was last seen letting an employee out of the store at 10 p.m. Sunday. Vaughn locked the door and continued to work in the store. Neither Vaughn nor his vehicle have been seen since.

Flewelling is described as a 47-year-old white male, born Sept. 11, 1968, 240 pounds with hazel eyes and thinning hair. He was last known to drive a 2006 Lincoln Town Car tan/cream in color with a Michigan license plate DJL4850, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“At this point Mr. Flewelling is listed as a ‘voluntary missing’ person out of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office,” Cole said. “ Currently MCSO detectives are still actively investigating this matter and anyone with information on Mr. Flewelling’s whereabouts is asked to call the Mason/Oceana County 911 Center at 231-869-5858.”
