Tesaline (Marie) Nielsen

Tesaline (Marie) Nielsen, 82 of Branch, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Ludington Woods Assisted Living Center.

Marie was born on January 30, 1934 by the late Isaac W. Cramblit and Myrtle (Armentrout) Cramblit in Grove City, Ohio.  

Marie attended school until she was old enough to help with the family farm.  She married Robert Arthur Nielsen on April 11, 1966 in Chicago.  She worked as a homemaker for many years to follow, doing her best to raise three stepchildren.

Marie was a member of the VFW and enjoyed volunteering in the Ludington area.  Her hobbies included collecting and re-selling antiques and jewelry making.

Marie is survived by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Nielsen; sisters Shirley and Darlene;  stepchildren: David Nielsen (Suzanne), Susan (Scott) Woodruff and Nancy Johnson; grandchildren: Victoria (Dave) Martel, Sarah (Ryan) Lucas, Olivia Nielsen, Stephen Woodruff, Jake Laime and Evynn Johnson; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Marion; brother Marvin and stepson Robert (Bobby) Michael Nielsen.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington.  Services will begin at 11 a.m. with a one hour visitation prior, starting at 10 a.m. There will be a private family ceremony at the family’s Ruby Creek property where Marie’s ashes will be placed to rest, at a later date.
