79th District Court sentencings, dismissals

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Gerald Thomas Skar, 63, of 6514 Grand Ave., Hamlin Township, was found guilty Nov. 18 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; must report to jail March 18, 2016 unless he has completed Impact Weekend prior to that; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; must attend AA twice a week; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and $1,430 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Richard L. Skinner, 43, of 6984 N. Poplar, Free Soil Township, was found guilty Nov. 19 of transporting/possessing an uncased bow/firearm in a vehicle and sentenced to $255 in fines and costs.

– Thomas Anthony Ruggero, 45, of 5177 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Summit Township, was found guilty Nov. 19 of excessive bait – over the legal limit and sentenced to $185 in fines and costs.

– Scott Russell Parsons, 39, of 2209 E. Madison, Hart, was found guilty Nov. 19 of no deer hunting license/firearm and sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.

– Jerrald Alan Hogenson, 51, of 1877 N. Jebavy, Hamlin Township, was found guilty Nov. 19 of excessive bait – over the legal limit and sentenced to $185 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Jon Howard McKinley, 26, of 803 Loomis St., Ludington, one count of operating without security (no insurance) was dismissed Nov. 19. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” his court file states.

– Brian Kelly Smith, 8776 104th Ave., Pentwater, one count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed Nov. 19. “The ends of justice do not require further prosecution,” his court file states.

– Jammie Leigh Cluck, 30, of 3125 N. Jennings Rd., Flint, one count of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) was dismissed Nov. 19. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” according to court file records.

– Dorothea Jane Mustaikis, 49, of 309 State St., Scottville, one count of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) was dismissed Nov. 19. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” her court file states.

– Joshua Delannie Hudson, 25, of 6629 Sally Ct., Flint, one count of DWLS was dismissed Nov. 13. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” according to court file records.
