Over 200 boots purchased for school safety.

LUDINGTON — A donation of $1,150 from Chemical Bank has brought The Boot school safety campaign to over 200 doors adopted through local donations. The device, which is being purchased by The Lockdown Company, is expected to be installed into 596 classrooms and offices in all Mason County secondary and elementary schools.

To date, the devices have been installed into Mason County Central’s Early Childhood Development and Ludington Area Catholic School and will be installed at Covenant Christian School today.

Those wishing to donate, may write a check to the Friends of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, c/o Community Foundation for Mason County, PO Box 10, Ludington, MI 49431. Note in the memo line: Adopt A Door.
