VICTORY TOWNSHIP –Shelby Soberalski was crowned Miss Ludington Area 2016 Saturday during the scholarship pageant held at West Shore Community College Center Stage Theater. The 22-year-old Ferris State University student platform is Autism and Mental Health Awareness.

She was among five women from Mason, Manistee and Oceana counties to compete. Sara Slade was first runner up.

“It feels unreal and I couldn’t be more excited,” Shelby said. “I’m looking forward to the year ahead and representing our community.”

Shelby is a 2012 graduate of Ludington High School.
