SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — A 51-year-old Hart man received minor injuries Monday afternoon when the Pontiac G6 he was driving was involved in a rollover crash on northbound U.S. 31 south of Meisenheimer Road. According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the man said he fell asleep. His vehicle entered the median for a brief moment and then crossed back to the right side of the road and left the roadway. The car then went down a small ditch and back up a hill, which caused it to rollover, landing on its top. The man was trapped in the vehicle and complained of an arm injury.

Personnel from Pere Marquette Fire Department were able to extricate the man from the vehicle. He then was transported by Life EMS ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. Also responding to the scene was Ludington Fire Department.
