Manistee County Fair – Manistee

The Manistee County Fair has been representing Manistee and Benzie Counties since 1876. Located at the Manistee County Fairgrounds, the fair will have fun for everyone. Check out the 4-H Large and Small Livestock Auction at the Large Animal Barn on Thursday at 5:30p.m. and animal exhibits throughout the weekend. Live music will take over the midway, including acts such as Peace, Love, Music, Duke and The Studebakers, Tucker Laws and Brian Nolf. Visit the grandstand for American Ethanol Late Model Stock Car Racing on Friday evening and the Demo Derby, Night of Destruction by Unique Motor Sports on Saturday evening. Fast Cars, Hot Rods & Hogs – Ludington

Visit downtown Ludington for the Fast Cars, Hot Rods & Hogs Car & Motorcycle show. Registration begins at 11:30a.m. and registered vehicles will enter off Loomis west of James Street. Those watching will have an opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice favorite car and motorcycle. For young hotrods, a T-N-T Powerwheels Derby will also be taking place for kids ages 3-10. Registration for this event is $10 and takes place at 5p.m. at the Sand Bar. Coinciding with the event, a pub crawl will be taking place starting at 1p.m. at the Blu Moon Bistro. The Whiskey Rebels are set to take the stage following the day’s events.

Oceana County Fair – Hart

The 144th Annual Oceana County Fair, which is the second-longest running fair in Michigan has been underway since Tuesday at the Oceana County Fairgrounds. The event draws approximately 25,000 fair goers every year, said Oceana County Fair President Clancy Aerts. The fair’s history dates back to 1871. Elliott’s Amusements is providing the rides and midway.
