79th District Court arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court magistrate:

Felonies

– LeeAllen Chester Bates, 43, of 2142 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Twp., was arrested July 23 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a felony of sex offender – failure to comply with reporting duties and second-offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Aug. 5 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/personal recognizance.

– Jonathan Joseph VanderHorst, 27, of 126 E. Glenguile St., Parchment, was arrested July 26 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of third-degree fleeing a police officer. Probable cause hearing: Aug. 5 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Steven Douglas Jolly, 56, of 5695 Iris Rd., Pere Marquette Twp. was arrested July 24 by LPD for a felony of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL). Probable cause hearing: Aug. 5 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Jeremy Foreman, 21, of 4357 S. Yale Ave., Baldwin, was arrested July 22 by MCSO for misdemeanors of operating while intoxicated; unlawful use of registration; operating without security; and failure to report an accident. Pretrial: Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. Bail: $3,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Travis J. Shirey, 34, of 6515 S. Scottville Rd., Eden Twp., was arrested July 18 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: Aug. 17 at 2:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Michael Lee Oszust, 39, of 2927 Lena Dr., Ludington, was arrested July 18 by MCSO for misdemeanors of operating while intoxicated and reckless driving. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Olivia Danielle Hunter, 22, of 502 ½ N. Rowe St., Ludington, was arrested July 21 by LPD for a misdemeanor of second-offense domestic violence. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Daniel Lee McClure, 29, of 502 ½ Rath St., Ludington, was arrested July 21 by LPD for a misdemeanor of second-offense domestic violence. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Franklin Edward Wilkes, 69, of 10644 W. 16th St., Branch, was arrested July 20 by the Michigan State Police for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: Aug. 17 at 3 p.m. Bail: $1,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.
